 Today’s world is all about representation and your look is one of the important factors of this. Everyone is beautiful but makeup is like icing on the cake. Good makeup not only makes you beautiful but also makes you confident. The makeup industry is based on many industries like Film, Fashion, Wedding, and Social Gatherings and makeup artists are pillars of this industry. The makeup industry has been here for thousands of years and the growth is not going to slow down in the future. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the beauty industry is expected to grow 8% from 2018 to 2028. In India, the beauty industry provides livelihood to nearly 70 lakhs people.

 

A makeup artist is a job where there is always room for growth. A new season brings in a new trend for work. There are two main categories of makeup artists, Fashion makeup artists, and Film makeup artists. Fashion makeup artists work to create a certain look for the model, like emphasizing lip shape or cheekbones and film makeup artists work to emphasizing the character actor or actress playing in their performance. A good institute will teach you all about this. A makeup artist has demand in beauty parlors, advertising agencies, and magazines. They recruit makeup artists at a high salary for them. The wedding industry is one of the most growing industries all over the world and the makeup industry is the beneficiary of it. “Bridal Makeup” is not only art but it is emotion in India. In India, a wedding is a festival so everyone needs to look beautiful, not only the bride and groom. This led the way for makeup artist's work.

 

For a makeup artist, opportunities are endless. A makeup artist can work from anywhere he/she wants to work. If they want to go to Sydney and work there, THEY CAN. A makeup artist can do face and body painting. In face and body painting, special effects artist creates magical and cool looks on the human body through the use of makeup and paint. A good example of this is Halloween makeup.

 

A makeup artist has to have a creative imagination and complete knowledge of cosmetics and their related products. Good communication skills, stamina, and concentration are factors for becoming a good makeup artist. A good makeup artist will work under pressure and long hours. A detail careful eye is the most efficient weapon for a makeup artist. The success mantra of a good makeup artist is practice. Practicing new trends, techniques can make you perfect. A makeup artist needs to know the range of brushes like Lip Brush, Blending Brush, Powder brush, etc.

 

There are tricks for makeup artists which can only be learned in a good institute. Like, concealing red spots or dark blue shadows under tired eyes requires using the opposite on the color wheel or applying foundation over the lips before applying liner or lipstick can remove uneven tones. The makeup industry is going to be one of the most successful industries in the future as there is no stopping by. Lots of celebrities and models investing in this industry are not only making this industry bigger but are also keeping the industry trending. Various viral trends on apps like Instagram, TikTok is helping the industry to grow more.

The Walk

 I started my walk as usual but as soon as I got out of my gate, I started to feel a little weird. I didn’t have this type of feeling in my life. The feeling was of fear yet happiness, like a mixed juice. I have a daily route for my walk. I start my walking from my society gate towards Deepak Stores, where I meet my ‘not so serious about health’ friends who come to walk just to eat Deepak’s samosas.
