2 Most Underappreciated Movies by Audience

Image
Most of the movies get an appreciation for their unique screenplay, acting performances, great direction but some of the movies don’t get the appreciation they deserve. This appreciation is not in the awards or critic's ratings but in the eyes of the audience. Sometimes the audience doesn’t get the main subject of the movie and criticizes the plot of the movie. The length of the movie plays a pivotal part in the audience’s perception of the movie. Nowadays with social apps like TikTok, Instagram Reels, the patience level of the audience is getting shorter. One small slow scene can drive them too fast forward the movie. I don’t fast-forward movies as it lost the touch of a movie. Three hours movie seems dragged to the audience as ninety- or hundred-minute movies seem good to them. Sometimes the audience has to understand that slowness has to be there to maintain the flow of the movie. This led to poor ratings on the sites like IMDb and Rotten Tomatoes. For example, in Taxi Driver (...

Image
Late Monsoon Captures Mumbai Again Today overnight rain halted the life of Mumbai. This is not the first time this happened to Mumbai. Rather than this is new normal to Mumbaikers because they see this every year. I think Mumbai is not awake from the horrors of 26th July 2005. You all might think it’s 16 years ago and now we are way beyond it. From Nokia 1100 to iPhone 12 we all are now ahead of life. Well, you might be ahead but your Drainage System is not. Mumbai has a British-era Drainage System. Yes, you read it right. It is not from the previous government or some party’s work. So now you have to blame the British for this. Mumbai’s drainage system is built-in 1860. From that period there has been a small improvement in the drainage system over the years but it is still based on the British-era, This drainage system is designed to carry 25 mm of rainfall. But Mumbai received 253.4 mm of rainfall till 8:30 am on Friday, 16th August 2021. It is 10 times more than the capacity ...

What Is Cult Classic?

Cult cinema or what some people call cult classic is a movie that has a strong, loyal fanbase. Cult cinemas are not dependent on box office success or critically acclaimed. These type of movies changes the dynamics of cinema in future. I will give you some examples which way you can get my point more clearly. My favorite movie is The Shawshank Redemption which is the best example of cult cinema. The movie changed the perception of people. In the movie’s initial run it was a flop but after getting numerous Oscars nominations it came back into the theaters to become a success. In India, there is another perfect example of cult cinema is Andaz Apna Apna (AAA). If anyone doesn’t know then Aamir Khan and Salman Khan starrer movie was a big box office failure. What would happen if these two stars in one movie today. But after the television period, it just became one of the most streaming movies in the history of Indian Cinema. It is one of the most favorites movies on my watchlist. Eve...

Why Mirzapur 2 sucked!

If anyone hasn't seen full series then there might be potential spoilers for you. So Beware!  The whole season seems built-up to the 3rd season and nothing interestingly happens to the hype of this season. We all waited nearly 2 years to get the 2nd part and at least I expected a lot more than this. Main characters were not even in the frame for some of the episodes. The main focus of taking Mirzapur seemed too much dragged down to the last episode. Everything for Guddu was easy after the starting episode, he gets into Mirzapur and burns down one of the main businesses of Kaalin Bhaiyya just like blowing a card castle. It just doesn't make sense to me, might make sense to you. He was not great at dealing with people in the first season but somehow he gains it in the 2nd season, it might be because of the loss of his loved ones which made him calmer and responsible but that is insane. The main reason why they placed Golu with Guddu is because of her sharpness and political knowl...

4 Things We Gets From Movies

Entertainment is one of the joyful things in the world. People find their entertainment in different-different things. But most people find it through movies. Movies teach us so many things. What we should do, what we should not do, how to react and what will be the consequences etc. But every movie though it's good or bad gives us something. When you watched 'Tanaji' it gave you a power of selflessness. It taught you how to be devoted to your soil. When you watched 'Housefull 4' it gave you laughter. You have to watch the movie without using your brain. You just see and react. In this movie it gave you one - sometimes reacting is better than thinking. So here I am going to show you 4 things we get from movies (not every time but most of the time). #4 :- Beyond Imagination Most of Christopher Nolan 's movies, some of David Fincher 's movies are far from imagination for our daily life brain. Everybody dreams but no one has ever gone into deep as 'Incep...
